Hi everyone. I have heard from a well known good menopause doctor that if you use vaginal progesterone the micronised one, you can drop your dose to half which in my case 200mg. I have to take 200mg x 12 or 14 that is 2 capsules inserted internally. According to this doctor l can go ahead and insert only one as it absorbs better through vagina therefore its ok to have 1 capsule a day. I trust her however l am also somehow scared. Is there anyone who is doing it the same way ? Thank you.

unless you have bad symptoms using 200mgs, I'd stick with the licensed dose.

I am in the same boat, but I go longer than 4 weeks on a cycle (under medical supervision from a consultant.) It's never been advised I use less, maybe as I am using it on a longer cycle.

There has been one research paper on using 100mgs instead of 200, and it's not yet mainstream practice to do it that way.

@JinglingHellsBells Thank you. Not much side effects not, except l get anxious and moody. Funny l just started my 2nd part of the cycle with progesterone and ve been taking 1 capsule 100mg a day vaginally since last 3 days and no anxiety or mood swings yet, my partner is happy :) But starting from tonight l will just be back to taking 200mg a night just to feel safe, also l am trying to conceive so maybe more is better.
