Self help advice needed

I have struggled for a little while with Peru symptoms which started when I turned 41, with sudden extremely heavy periods am now 43. I had various tests and Dr just said "it's your age" and tried to put me on the pill but following taking the pill prescribed I felt as though my moods were so low I had to stop taking them. Things got better for a while but recently are overwhelmingly hard to cope and have the following:
Anxiety
Feeling like a failure
Crying
Lost confidence
Feel not listened to
Migraines
Sleeplessness
Heavy and irregular periods - getting closer
Tiredness
Lots of muscular aches and pains
Moments of things getting on top of me
Brain fog
Is there anything I can do to help myself prior to going back to GP when things settle? although feel like I won't get any further with them when I do.
Thanks

Google pycnogenol I've heard these are good for the menopause.

They are a little expensive but you can get them from Holland and barrets.

I had more or less the same symptoms a few years back. HRT didn't work, but Sertraline did...I know an AD isn't always the answer, but in this case, it saved my life...literally. good luck op...its an awful place to be

I take kalms and use camomile and pillow spays and clarins ressourcante
Spray these help with some of the symptoms. X

GPs are supposed to be doing phone consultations. Is yours?

It sounds as if you need HRT. You have every symptom of peri menopause and your dr is being useless to say 'it's your age'!

That amounts to negligence.

Make a phone appt, tell them you have done your research and have meno symptoms and would like HRT. You need to insist - or change GPs.

You are also considered young for this- under 45 it's called early menopause- and the treatment advised by NICE is HRT.

Thank you all. That's all really helpful advice. I will phone my GP in the morning and say just that. Possibly I haven't been firm enough previously. I will also look at pycnogenol and calms and other supplements which may help and do have the Clarins spray which is calming so will use that too. I feel better for speaking about it and coming on here, at least I know I'm not going insane and do have symptoms which point peri/menopause. Thanks again
