Reducing progesterone supplement

I have been prescribed progesterone by my doctor and have recently reduced my dose as advised. My mood has gone down somewhat since doing this. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Can you give a few more details?

What is the name of the progesterone you are taking?
Why are you taking it? Why have you been advised to reduce the dose?

Are you in perimenopause?

Are you using estrogen as well?
