Can I take less progesterone with oestrogel

I thought I read a 5 day break was doable. My GP put me on one pill a night and 2 pumps of eostrogel daily.I did feel sluggish and tired to begin with but I reordered more HRT before the lockdown and have felt considerably better.I didn't get my 3 month phone call for obvious reasons.
The thing is my hair keeps going greasy every few weeks and I have felt tearful this week.
Anyone know if the break in progesterone would help. Thanks in advance.

The regime (unless you are under a consultant offering a different regime) is either 100mgs Utrogestan daily, at night, everyday (one option) or for 25 days a month. Then a 3-day gap.

Or 200mgs for 10-12 days per 28 day cycle.

In all honesty, I doubt a 5-day break would make you feel that much different. It can take a good day or two or three for it to get out of your system.

Why not go onto a sequi regime where you only use it for 10-12 days per month? That would give you estrogen-only for at least 2 weeks and some of us stretch that to even longer, under a dr's supervision, with medical advice.

I'm not sure it's the progesterone making your hair oily to be honest.
