Does this sound like hot flushes?

Hi, could anyone help?
For the past 3 weeks or so I’ve been getting what I’m assuming are menopausal hot flushes but I’m not completely certain. I don’t really want to bother my GP at the moment but a little worried, would be really grateful if anyone could help.

I am 48, periods been a bit all over the place for a while and now 20+ days late.
It’s mainly in bed I get them, but not sweats or a feeling in my face and upper body as I’ve read about. It basically is just my entire body getting incredibly hot (I have a ‘feeling’ when one is coming which is hard to describe!). I kick off the duvet and fall back asleep only to wake up a few minutes later freezing. My skin feels kind of sore and weird too. The worst part though is any kind of movement, turning over, etc seems to trigger one. Some nights it is literally hot, cold, hot cold all night with no let up. I’m exhausted! Does this sound like menopausal hot flushes? Any any advice how to deal with them? Thanks :)

Hi OP. I've only had one, but yes that's how it felt for me as well. I had a 'feeling' too (but I was driving) and it was very odd as I always imagined hot flushes feeling like you do when you suddenly get warm or sweaty from an outside temperature change and it's not like that at all.

Yes it does.
