Evorel Conti 50

Hi could somebody please advise me. I’m 51 & have been on Evorel Conti 50 for 14 months I am having twice monthly bleeds with spotting in between. This has been investigated and a small fibroid found but the consultant thought it more likely the HRT is causing the bleed. My GP seems clueless & today she suggested wearing the patch for a week to get less hormones. Does this even work? Reading the above thread I wonder should I be on Sequi instead. Prior to having the conti I hadn’t had a period for 2 years however I think this was due in part to my thyroid being removed. Any advice appreciated

I tried conti and Sequi, and had a lot of bleeding with both. However, that turned out to be fibroids. But it did seem that they just try each of those options randomly to see what happens (the consultant I saw swiched me from Sequi to Conti)

Ok thanks for replying. Did you give up or switch to something else?

No, neverr gave up, but had a hysterectomy so hence only need oestrogen now. I have been busy ripping the evorel 50 patches out of the Sequi packs!

I’ve had a hysteropexy so that’s not an option for me. I’m just at a loss as to what to do. I thought the hormones in the patches ran out after 3.5 days so I’m reluctant to leave it on for a week. The GP just seems to refer to a chart but has no other knowledge. I feel I have two options to continue as I am or stop using which I don’t want to do either as I’ll swap one set of problems for another! Thanks for taking the time to respond 😊
