No bleed after progesterone

Hello. I m on my 1st end of cycle on HRT and was looking forward to having an artificial period but nothing came. I used 200mg progesterone for 14 days and its been 3 days since l stopped it but no period. It feels like l have a period though with the pain and the whole feeling of it. Is it normal not to get a bleed when you first start your Hrt and that it takes time for the body to adjust? I m wearing 5mg estrogen patch. My doctor told me to take the patch off right after the end of Progesterone use till the end of the period as he told me that in some women the estrogen dominance could get in the way of the period happening and hence no bleed however l didn t take it off as l was scared that the symptoms would come back. But l think l will next month. Also how many days do you have in between of each progesterone take? 14 or 15? Thank you.

As posters have said before you do not remove your patch you need constant oestrogen your doctor is talking rubbish. About 20% of women on cyclical HRT will not have a bleed so you could be one of those.
There is no such thing as Oestrogen dominance its utter rubbish. By removing your patch you are not using HRT correctly if I were you I would see a different doctor who actually knows what they are doing.

I have never heard of a 5mg patch. Which one is it?
Patches start at 25mcgs and go up to 100mcgs (different brands of course.)

If you are using a very low dose patch and 14 days of Utrogestan it's quite possible you won't bleed as the estrogen dose over a month is too low to grow the lining.

Your dr is wrong by the way.

@JinglingHellsBells Hello all. Just a quick update that l got my period finally yesterday though it took 4 days after l stopped progesterone to get my period. is that normal? thank you. also the colour is so dark. ,t feels weird to have an artificial period.
