What’s the lowest dose of utrogestan I can have each month?

I have 2 pumps of oestrogen gel daily.
I’ve been on this regime for 15 months now and my dr has changed the utrogestan part 3 times.
Currently on continuous utrogestan 100mg daily but I feel rubbish. Had 2 periods this month that knock me out physically with awful accompanying nausea.

I feel exhausted all the time despite taking supplements.
Low mood and very stressed. Zero libido and severe hip pain.

I also use vagifem for VA and CBD oil for joint pain.

Which 3 ways of using Utrogestan have you tried?

You can expect erratic bleeding unfortunately with continuous types for 6 months.

The licensed dose is 12 days per month ( 200mgs each of those days.)

Maybe Utrogestan isn't for you and you need something different.
Your dr could prescribe Norethisterone to go with it but it is a synthetic progestogen and possibly not quite so safe re breast cancer.

I was in 200mg for half the month for about 7 months. Felt so knackered on this
So GP put me on to 25 days per month with a 3 day break to help erratic bleeding. This was last July.
Then in early January I had a phone call from my dr to say take 100mg continuously so no break.
Had 2 periods that have been heavy 15 days apart in Feb.

Have your periods stopped for at least 12 months? If not, the dose of Utrogestan may not control bleeding enough as it's your own cycle breaking through.

No they haven’t ever stopped for longer than 3 months

In that case you should be on sequential hrt- that's a cycle like your own monthly cycles, not continuous which is why you are getting erratic bleeds.

The other option is the Mirena coil plus estrogen, OR there is a pill type of hrt called Tridestra which is for women in peri and that's 10 weeks of estrogen only and 2 weeks of progestogen. It's long cycle, 3-monthly cycles.
