Anyone in peri experiencing weird lapses in memory? I suddenly have trouble remembering ppl I have know for years' names. And sometimes just concentrating. I can't find the names of well known actors (for example) from much-loved films as another example. I'm sleeping ok and no hot flushes. But erratic periods mostly absent. I am 53.

I'm 46 and in peri. My memory is terrible as is concentration. My periods have been v heavy for the past 2 years and I was anaemic. I had an iron infusion a month ago and I feel less foggy now, there's a definite improvement in my memory. Is there a possibility you could be deficient in anything?

I’ve had the ‘wading through cement’ days, OP. Keep buggering on! Flowers

I have this, and frankly have had it for a few years now. I also can't hold information in my head like I used to.

For example, I'd read a recipe, get the gist, and only go back to check specific details. Now I can barely remember one line to the next and it totally affects my ability to just get stuff done.

I forget names, people's faces very badly, I forget words, the ends of sentences, work I've done, why I'm going into a particular room - it's all 'fine' and I'm not concerned that it's anything sinister, I just desperately want to be the sharp-as-a-tack person I used to be.

I have been forgetting names for a while I have to dig deep to remember.

I'm finding it takes longer to remember names too! They usually come in the end.
Heavier periods, yup, them too.
Not much fun is it?
Also it also seems to have brought an attitude of not giving a fuck which I am quite liking.
