It's come up as because another poster is , like me, tired of seeing women unaware of the NICE guidelines and GPs not working with them.

If the guidelines were pinned here at the top of the page, it would be very helpful and I wouldn't need - with other posters- to spend so long repeating them.

If enough women ask MNHQ we might get somewhere.

Ok I will wait and see the update, I guess NICE might do that in due course.

@Orangeblossom78 Ther is already quite a bit of comment online on the MHRA statement, from drs, if you search the BMS website.

For most women it is not going to make much difference to getting or using hrt.

The opinion of specialists is that the MHRA statement (sent to Gps) was hasty, ill judged and premature- a knee-jerk reaction.

There has been a lot of criticism of it.

For most women who want hrt and are being denied, the current guidelines suffice and the pending changes ( which could take years) are not that important.

All guidelines are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary and it’s great that the NICE menopause ones in particular are which can only be to our benefit.

So much of what is in them can be used to inform ourselves and discuss with HCPs - and challenge those with outdated/uninformed opinions on what is in our best interests.
