I seem to have pmt x10 for at least 2 weeks put of 4,if not 3 at the moment. Still having periods age 45 but def peri.

I'm seeing a counsellor again soon but know that anyth3i feel is distorted and magnified by hormones. Has anyone found talking therapies useful?

I've cried so much today my eyes are like blisters

That sounds horrendous Windy. Have you seen your GP? Have you thought of HRT?

Windywuss · 08/02/2020 20:26

I saw gp a while ago. She suggested either hrt or antidepressants. I don't want to go back on antidepressants. And I always had high BP (already high and on tablets) when I took synthetic hormone. I was awful on the pill so without hot flushes and all the rest, I'm not sure about hrt yet.

I've got sore boobs and awful anxiety and or feel tearful and heavy heavy periods. Feeling so sad today.

Sounds like you should at least consider HRT.You don't have to stay like this.Good luck.

Could you discuss having the mirena coil fitted with your GP? This should at least alleviate your heavy periods. You could then have oestrogen patches with may not affect your blood pressure so much.

I know it's probably the last thing you feel like doing but yoga and mediation help me. I use a guided meditation app and do 10 minutes a day.

Fightmaster on YouTube has a beginners course which is about 15 mins.

Failing that I start self medicating with dark chocolate and WineBlush

If it is hormonal I suggest that hrt is an option for you and definitely psychotherapy. It is possible that you feel depressed because of estrogen fall and hrt will help you. If not maybe you need psychotherapy or ADs or a combination of them.
