Evorel patch alternatives- what happens now?

I've been happily on Evorel Conti for at least 6/7 years after a relatively early menopause. The symptoms I'd been suffering disappeared within days and I've been told I can stay on it indefinitely.
Thanks to a combined lack of communication by the chemist (who have sat on my repeat prescription for weeks without telling me) and me not noticing I'd almost run out, I'm now in the position where I can only obtain the oestrogen element in patch form and none of the norethisterone at all. I've no idea what taking one without the other is going to feel like and I can't see a GP for at least a fortnight to discuss or manage any fallout. Allegedly the Everol Conti will be available again in February- fingers crossed.
I know I've been lucky to get this far given how long the shortages have been flagged for but I'm terrified. I've other health issues at play now so can't afford to be having hormone struggles too!
Has anyone else experienced this and can let me know what I'm in for?!

The independent pharmacy have Conti in stock but run out really quickly, the only downside is 2 months worth cost over £60 but the deliver really quickly so if you don't mind paying then it might tide you over until the nhs can supply again.
