I’m going through the Menopause and I have Rosacea.
I’m getting bad face fuzz does IPL work ???
Is it permanent and how many sessions does it take.
And how much per session ?
I’m in Derbyshire any recommendations?

I think I was told to expect 10-16 sessions when I had IPL... it was painful, I reacted badly, so not suitable to have more, & it didn't help. Thing is, you can't allow yourself to get any kind of tan until treatment is done & you need minimum-# weeks between sessions, iirc, which means there was only 4 months a year I could have sessions. It just didn't work. I guess there are home kits now & different sorts... ? but it didn't work on white hair & most of mine are going white, so...

(yes I'm outside a lot)

I have an IPL machine but too scared to use it on my face.
As I don’t know what a safe level is.

Have you seen a dermatologist for your rosacea? I know some people struggle with it and don't get specialist help and there may be treatments that could help. Sorry if you have already done this.

Yes I have. I’ve just done 4 months of soolantra.
My skin is still sore and hypersensitive and I’m still getting tiny spots.
I can’t do antibiotics because I have Gastritis at the moment.
Plus I think it’s demodex related so Antibiotics just deal with The dying stage of the mite. So when you come off antibiotics you just get it back.
Plus rosacea I believe is gut related. My skin went haywire after Antibiotics I was prescribed by my doctor for a stye .
I’ve since found out you don’t have antibiotics for a stye you just apply heat.
He is know for getting people in and out as quickly as possible. Unfortunately I stupidly took them and it triggered Gastritis. A year and 4 stone lighter I’m still struggling.
