Do HRT patches not work if they dont stick?

Hello
Thank goodness for this site. I am hoping that someone can advise me.
Two and a half years ago my gyno specialist put me on Evorill patches 100mg. They worked amazingly. Due to the shortage of patches my own doctor put me on 100mg Estraderm three month ago. I instantly noticed that the new patches were not sticking. For half of the week only half of the patch would actually be on me. Thinking back since going on the new patch I was becoming more tired, sleeping less, and sweating. Over the Christmas period I hit an all time low with severe anxiety/depression. With my doctors consent I upped my fluoxetine and took propanadol. Two weeks ago my doctor changed my HRT patch to 80gram Estrogel. Fast forward to today and I am feeling no better. My anxiety is through the roof and I feel no better. Ideas please?

If the patch isn't in contact with your skin then no, of course it won't work. Your skin won't absorb anything.
