Pre-menopausal symptoms

Can any one shed any light on pros and cons of HRT pls?

Do some reading- take far too long to explain. The website of Dr Louise Newson is very detailed.

I too am considering going on HRT. Been reading lots about it and figure its definitely worth a try. I had a hysterectomy 9 years ago but kept my ovaries. The last year or so I have felt terrible. Crippling Anxiety, flushes, mood swings, heart palpitations, insomnia and no sex drive and varying other lovely symptoms. Have been to see a male doctor several times and they say they don’t know what it is, even suggesting fibromyalgia. Tomorrow I’m off to see a lady doctor to request (demand) HRT. Been speaking to many friends of my age (50) and they are convinced it will help and menopause is the cause. I did have to have 3 months of injections before my hysterectomy 9 yrs ago to put me into a temporary early menopause beforehand and it was hideous and identical to what I am now feeling all the time. Sad Doctors are not more helpful in suggesting it might be menopause related especially considering my age and medical history.
