A year post menopause and my life has gone to hell Nerve pain blepharitis Rosacea Gastritis Seborrhoeic Dermatitis and Chronic Fatigue and Burning Mouth all since October 2018.
Anyway on HRT patches but I’ve just finished 4 months of soolantra and my face is still sore. I’m using Cerave face wash and Cerave moisturiser. Can any recommend a moisturiser that doesn’t break you out or breaks the bank . Plus is there an alternative to antibiotics as my guts are a mess already.

I'm another menopause-induced rosacea/blepharitis sufferer Tasharuby. It's miserable, isn't it?

To moisturise, I use what is now called Pro Itch Control from Cetaphil. (I think this (new) name is a bit misleading. It used to be called Restoraderm. I find I only need a tiny bit and it's great for keeping the sore/burning/itchy sensation at bay whikst not leading to a breakout.

As regards antibiotics, I have been taking a product called Oraycea for about a year. It's only a 40mg dose so only works as an inflammatory and I have found it really OK in terms of my digestion. (Certainly not like taking a normal antibiotic.) It really does help with both my eyes and skin and, according to my dermatologist and optician, there really isn't any other option if you also have the rosacea in your eyes. I definitely haven't found much else of use.

Hi there, it was antibiotics that kicked the Gastritis off.
Where do you buy Pro Itch Control from ?
I must admit tried normal cetaphil moisturiser but didnt like it much not heard of the other one. I’ve started on a LDN for nerve pain .
Really struggled to even wash with water skin was so sore.
Is your skin sensitive and sore ?
My body reacts bad to antibiotics.

I have this and I’m using zz cream to control it. If I stop using the zz cream it flares up again. I tried soolantra but it wasn’t all that effective. I’ve avoided antibiotics so far.

Yes I’ve just bought some just been applying it to my chin watered down. Seems to irritate my skin a bit . Well my skin is itchy and sore is this normal?
