Hi I'm really suffering with hot flushes at the mo even more so at night so am not sleeping well .

I have herb going through the menopause for several years now and tried various HRT but when the one I was on that worked best became difficult to get I turned to herbal /alternative meds . I have tried Macca root and sage the Macca root did work initially but hasn't been hurling recently - any suggestions gratefully received !

I have a number of food intolerances and salicylates are a massive trigger.

This might get you started. www.fedup.com.au/factsheets/symptom-factsheets

TBH nothing is going to work as well as estrogen. Some women find sage helps, or black cohsoh or red clover as well as eating loads of foods with phytoestrogens ( google for these.)

There is no shortage of estrogen gels at the moment or Utrogestan, or Norethisterone sold on its own. Has your GP not suggested these?
