Possible prolapse

I’ve been peri for a while. I’m 42, slim and healthy and have had no real concerns until last night.

My periods are all over the place-I use a moon cup. Last night I was having trouble inserting it; I then felt my cervix getting in the way! It’s less than half a finger from the entrance (so to speak 😀) it’s usually so high I can barely touch it.

I hate going to the doctors as I’m worried about wasting their time! Does this sound like a prolapse?

Yes it does I'm afraid. See your GP and they ought to refer you to a gynae if they suspect it is. Have you done anything recently that might have caused this- heavy lifting, running a marathon? Anything that puts a strain on your pelvic floor?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Will call the doc and make an appointment.

I have a very active lifestyle-lots of exercise and heavy lifting. Honestly didn’t realise it would put a strain on my pelvic floor! Sigh!
