Femoston-conti and peri-menopause

I have just picked up my first prescription and the pack insert is very clear that it is for women who have already gone through the menopause. Whereas, I am peri-menopausal and still having (relatively) regular periods. I am slightly concerned I have been prescribed the wrong thing. GP was lovely, but very young and admitted it was the first time she had prescribed HRT. She said she was prescribing something that would be cyclical, but this appears to be the same tablet every day.

Obviously, I will ring the practice to be on the safe side, but wondered if anyone here has been prescribed it for peri-menopause symptoms?

No, you, shouldn't have conti if you are still having periods.

I managed to speak to a different GP. The one I saw had prescribed it as a generic so the pharmacist could pick any brand they could get hold of, but she has written it for the wrong strength, so the pharmacist picked the Conti as it matched. She has written a fresh prescription for me to pick up in the morning and the pharmacist has confirmed he has the right one in stock. Try again tomorrow...
