HRT Oestrogel and Progestogen tablets

Just started using this combination. 2 pumps of gel daily but can anyone tell me do I continue to use the gel whilst taking Progestogen tablets from day 15-26.

I will check with GP next week but just wondered if anyone else uses this and finds it ok.

This is my 4th different HRT this year due to lack of supplies!!

Any info appreciated.
Thank you.

You use the gel every day. (Same as a pill or patch would give you estrogen every day.)

Hi JinglingHellsBells ... thanks.
So EVERY day even when I take Utrogestan tablets?

Sorry, just want to be clear ... thank you :)

Every day. The oestrogen is a constant and the prog just there to make sure your womb lining doesn't get too thick.

Yes as pp says :)

If you have previously used a patch or pill form, you were still getting estrogen daily. The patch or pill has progestogen in it from day 15 AS WELL AS the estrogen. :)

Aaaah I wasn't aware of that. I previously thought that the patches were oestrogen only for the first two weeks and then progesterone only for 2 weeks!

Makes complete sense ;)
