Ovarian cyst, fibroid and tiny polyp

I had a TVS today where they found a 2mm uterine polyp, a 'small' fibroid, and a 2.5cm cyst on my right ovary. I'm mid-50s with no periods for 7 months and very symptomatic over last few weeks with spotting bleeding pelvic pain. The sonographer who did the scan was lovely and said maybe it's the combination of all three that are causing symptoms. I'm seeing the gynae on Tuesday - I must also add I had two small polyps removed about three years ago.
Should I be concerned about any of these? Does anyone think a watch and wait approach will be adopted or will they go in with hysteroscopy and/or removal of any of these? Has anyone else had all three at the same time? And if so if post menopause what did they do about it?

I have had 2 out of those 3! I have had a smallish fibroid for years and years ( 50% of women have them and never know unless they get really big) and I had a 3cm ovarian cyst. I didn't have any symptoms with either and both were picked up during a gynae 'MOT' with a consultant (seeing for other things at the time.) I had 'watchful waiting' on my ovarian cyst (I had private health cover and was scanned for some time but in the end it went away.) They don't remove anything under 5cms unless it looks dodgy.

I suspect it's you r polyp that's bleeding. I wouldn't worry- wait and see. None on their own are dangerous at all.

@JinglingHellsBells that's reassuring. Are you pre or post meno if you don't mind me asking? Just that the management could be different depending on that?

At the time the cysts was discovered, I was around 52-53 and periods almost finished (think I'd had the more or less last one when the cyst was found.) The rule about removing them is as I said above- watchful wait it's called in women post meno if under 5cms.

You need a specialist to look at the scan not just a technician. They ought to be looked at by a radiologist.

My cyst took 2 years to disappear and by then I was clearly post meno.

I still have a fibroid and as I'm on HRT I have withdrawal bleeds so the fibroid is still there but not grown much in 10 yrs.

Fibroids shrink post meno (unless on hrt)so unlikely they will do anything with yours.

I suspect they will remove your polyp and as it's tiny do a hysteroscopy to get to it. (I had one to check my lining at one point.) Or they may leave it alone because you are not exactly post meno yet- 12 months with no periods is the 'rule'!

@JinglingHellsBells right thanks for the info. Do you think they will rescan the cyst at any point? Also my last polyps were removed under GA so after reading of horror stories with only local or even no pain relief hoping this would be offered again.

@JinglingHellsBells also what about cervix? Pap smears up to date and all ok but could the symptoms be linked to that?

I don't know to be honest if they will rescan you. Cysts are really common and as you are not yet post meno, they may decide not to- it needs someone to 'read' the scan and decide what kind of cyst it is (there are several sorts.) The Royal College of Gynaes and Obsts, have a guidelines sheet on this so might be wroth you looking online. If youare not yet post meno the odd bleeding is really common anyway and usually hormonal- nothing to do with the things they have found. Has anyone looked at your cervix?? You could have an ectropion.

Wait and see but doesn't sound too worrying from what you have said.
