Posting on here rather than General Health as I'm in my midfifties and believe I'm postmenopausal. I had a Mirena for around 7 years, fitted originally to alleviate perimenopausal heavy periods. 2 days ago I had it removed, and although it was a quick process the cramps were very painful. Last night i noticed a little spotting and now I have more. Rather like a light period. Have others experienced this and can I expect it to go on for long?
