what is this fresh hell (dry mouth)

I'm 32 and GP suspects peri. i'm having my day3 bloods taken soon (whenever AF decides to show that is ) its shit.
Past 4 days I've had an extremely dry mouth, its a struggle to eat without gulps of water in between, my lips feel swollen and weird like i've eaten something salty, and my teeth feel awful like they haven't been brushed.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there anything that helps?

Yes same here.😥 Sore tongue and dry mouth.Everything spicy burns which is unfortunate as I'm a chef and need to taste food.I haven't found a cure I just drink plenty and bought an expensive mouth wash.Sorry you are suffering too.

I was in the same boat, I suddenly felt that every part of my body was extremely dry and was convinced that I had a terminal disease. It is due to the lack of estrogen.

I’ve had it for about 6 months ..... I can’t walk far without needing to drink because my mouth is so dry. Some types of toothpaste really makes it worse so I’m experimenting with different brands. One night after cleaning my teeth it felt like my whole mouth was swollen too. I was in the US and saw an advertisement for a dry mouth product but didn’t get a chance to buy any sadly... I’ll post the advertisement in case it’s available.
