Ladycare + gift now bleeding

My friend gave me a Ladycare magnet as a 50th birthday present. I wore it for 24 hrs, then forgot the next day, and woke up this morning with a fully blown horrid period. I have the Mirena coil so no period for 4 years!! I'm raging and will not use the magnet again. Has anyone else has this and will the period disappear and will it go back to no periods? I hate having a period as I get a lot of pain, bloating and bleeding

Magnets are complete hokum no use what so ever, your probably having a bleed because your mirena is coming to the end of its life and running out of progesterone, it's quite common after 4 years or you've had a surge of your own hormones that has caused the bleed. If you're worried go and see your gp who will probably tell you it's just a period or refer you for a scan.

As above. There is zero evidence magnets work, they prey on women being desperate for something to help and consultants have written papers showing they don't work.

You need to see your GP and be investigated for the bleeding and probably have anew coil fitted.

The magnets are a gimmick ,i doubt it caused the bleeding,my niece got one ,useless she said, didn't make any difference

I had a new coil fitted last year, my current one is only a year old, so doubt it's. I'm coming to the end of its life. I didn't say I believed in the magnet, as I said I was given one and wondered if anyone else had bleeding. Quite disappointed in the snippy replies.

The replies are not snippy they simply giving the facts about the magnet. it's not an attack on your personally. But your post clearly suggests you thought the magnet had caused the bleed. See your GP if you are worried as a bleed after 4 years and with Mirena coil in place needs checking out.
