Evorel Conti - low dose

Mackers123 · 24/09/2019 19:18

Hi, I spoke with Dr today and she is going to try me on Evorel Conti on a low dose. I am nearly 52 and not had a period for 2 years.

I have read some of the side effects, what I want to know is anyone who has experience of this low dose combined HRT and what you think, good or bad about it? I am worried about the bleeding I have read about but hoping that there are less side effects on a low dose, or is that wishful thinking?

Thanks

Didn't know you get Evoral Conti in low dose, i tried E C and no bleeding but lost a lot of hair, and had diarrhea for a few days, otherwise it gave me more energy, wish i could have stayed on it, but couldn't cope with the hair loss
Not everyone suffers these side effects, but with the HRT shortages ,i doubt you will be able to get it

supply update ^^

You just need to try it @Mackers123 Everyone reacts differently to all drugs not just HRT. You may not bleed at all, and hair loss is listed as a possible side effect for all HRT as well as a lot of drugs. Not all women by any means have hair loss.

I know there's a shortage, is it this particular one?

I’m on my third month of it-so much better in myself and haven’t noticed any hair loss.
And yes, it’s on the hard to get hold of list!

Hi Makers123
Just got on here and saw you were asking about a low dose of everol conti, my Gp would only prescribe me one patch per week instead of two this maybe what you will be given. I hope you have better luck than I have. Started off great sleeping better much more energy, but I've had issues with bleeding so I've stopped now after ten weeks... let me know how you get on you may be fine it's worth a go. SmileWink

Hi Makers123
Oh that's good I'm glad you can get hold of it... I have an app to go back and see my Gp see what to do next? It may have not worked for me as only had one patch so hormone levels not stable just up and down the whole time... then I got bad thrush too! EnvyConfusedI tried for nearly 3 months... if I can sort the sleeping out it will be a big help watch this space. Keep me posted your end Smile

Mackers123 · 05/10/2019 17:12

Oh blimey thrush is not good, hope you get it sorted

I was always prone to it years ago, I am guessing it's the surge of oestrogen that's caused it, as two years no periods until all this! EnvyEnvy
