Coming off the HRT has caused this hasn't it?

I was on Kliovance but stopped taking it about 6 days ago. I'd planned on changing to a patch and separate pill but decided, rightly or wrongly, to try without.

The last 2 days I have had such urgency to urinate and have actually wet myself once. Is this the effect of no HRT?

Absolutely yes, I think. The lack of estrogen can cause it.

Thanks Emerald. I’ll be going back on it then Sad

Not pretending to be any form of expert, but it’s happened very soon after you stopped your HRT. Could it really have that level of effect so quickly? I’d be off to my GP sharpish to check for a UTI.

Good point AW.
By coincidence I’m at the GP this morning but they are, understandably, quite strict about an appointment being for one topic only.
I’ll ask for a sample pot as soon as I arrive and hopefully, if I’m very polite, the GP will dip one of the testing sticks in it for me. Hmm

It's unlikely it would have that effect in 2 days. Almost impossible, and using vaginal estrogen can be very effective for bladder issues .

JinglingHellsBells · 09/09/2019 10:41

well, make that 6 days- same answer.

AwkwardSquad · 09/09/2019 14:26

Hope the GP was able to help, mckenzie

Thanks AS. She happily tested the ridiculously small amount of urine that I was able to produce on demand and concluded that it was all fine.

I've been less affected today so perhaps it was a blip.

JHB, I'll remember about the vaginal estrogen though if it continues. Thank you.
