Disappearing eyebrows!

I might well be perimenopausal, I am 50 and have experienced one episode of night sweats so definitely in the zone. Is there any link between menopause and eyebrows dramatically thinning? Can I do anything about it, or just shrug it off as a minor symptom? I had lovely eyebrows and I miss them!

There definitely is a link.....mine have buggered off too.

Bloody hell... That's what I feared.

I have them, but they are grey, I use some eyeshadow to put them where they should be.

Mine are the same, no arm or leg hair either! I use Rapidbrow on my brows which has definitely helped with growth and colour but you have to keep using it or they disappear again.

JinglingHellsBells · 25/08/2019 14:20

Rapidbrow. It works.

bestbefore · 25/08/2019 14:22

Yep mine are now shite. And no hair on lower legs (below calf) or the back of my hands...werewolf in reverse?!

LeafyWood · 25/08/2019 14:23

Castor oil is brilliant - mine are twice the thickness that they were before. It has also restored my disappearing eyelashes! You have to be patient, but it does work, and it’s a lot cheaper and more natural than rapidbrow.

My eyebrows have almost disappeared too! I find that using eyebrow dye every few weeks helps to emphasise what's left, as most of the hairs are fine and very fair, so almost invisible.

If I need to add extra emphasis I use a soft, thick eyebrow pencil, or even brown eyeshadow!

Me too! Wasn't aware this happened Sad Considered microblading - read about it - nope!
Going to look up Rapidbrow Smile

JinglingHellsBells · 25/08/2019 16:33

Buy Rapidbrow off Amazon- much cheaper than shops.

GrimGirl · 25/08/2019 16:37

Have you had your thyroid levels checked. Thyroid issues is another reason eyebrows fuck off.

JinglingHellsBells · 25/08/2019 18:06

MN seems obsessed with thyroids a lot of the time :)

Eyebrows usually thin in midlife or older (except men's grow more.)

Body hair can get sparse in meno- pubes , underarm hair, and leg hair.

HRT stops this by adding estrogen.

Raera · 25/08/2019 18:12

Bushier eyebrows for me - to match the beard!

misscockerspaniel · 26/08/2019 18:57

Benefit Gimme Brow is your friend Wink

Catmar · 26/08/2019 19:05

Mine have almost disappeared too. I look like an alien if I don't use pencil and powder. Rest of my body hair unchanged 🙄

endofthelinefinally · 26/08/2019 19:06

Yes. The eyebrow hairs fall out and embed themselves in your chin. Sad
