Day 20 of my latest period.

Still red blood - so had two weeks of lightish red bleeding, three or four days of heavy bleeding with clots and now back to lightish but red.

I am exhausted. I am snappy and bad tempered. My skin is shit. I am constantly uncomfortable.

I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday. If I haven't stopped bleeding by then I will sob

I had exactly this last year , bleeding constantly for 3 weeks . Went to the Drs, they gave me tablets to take (to give me a break she said), I took them for 3 weeks , stopped bleeding straightaway , it was bliss ! When I finished them , the bleeding returned with a vengeance , worse than previously, some days I was housebound , sitting on one of those pads used for bedwetting . Massive clots and soaking through towels and tampons . It was horrific . Fast forward to this year , hadn't seen any bleeding since January so started to think, great , that's me done and then today it's started all over again ! I just feel so miserable now, not knowing how long it's going to last for . Trust me, I feel your pain and know exactly how you're feeling .

Oh Jesus I didn’t want to read this but couldn’t help myself! V erratic periods for last few years. Finally went 9 weeks without one and thought this is it...Nope the bastard returned with a vengeance. So fucking painful I’ve been hoovering up the Nurofen.

Had exactly the same as others describing - longest was 7 weeks with flooding / huge clots etc. Dr told me off for not going sooner. Ended up very anaemic.
Gave me hormone tablet and it did stop bleeding in the end. Since then I’ve missed two to three months st a time but periods haven’t stopped completely. Still heavy.
Until you can get to a dr - if you are able to take ibuprofen it can help reduce flow a bit.
If bleeding gets worse and you are soaking through protection in an hour then call out of hours service.
