I went to the doctors yesterday to change my HRT (I was on kliovance) and she has given me
Evorel patches and
Utrogestan 100

The leaflet in the Utrogestan says that I will have a withdrawal bleed once a month. Is this correct? How long will it last?

I haven't had any bleeding in about 5 years and I'd rather like to keep it that way!

It's confusing but don't panic.

Many women take Utrogestan daily. This is bleed-free.
I think the instructions say take for 25 days a month? This means that IN THEORY you might get a smidgen of a bleed 3 days after the last tablet but THE REALITY is that by taking it almost daily, you won't.

You can if you want, take it every single day.

The 25 days is a precautionary thing so that if there is any lining to come away it will. I expect if you stick with that you won't bleed BUT you might get some spotting for a few weeks with this regime because the progesterone has to work on the building lining to stop it growing.

phew.
thank you so much for replying. I thought I was going to have to go back to the Kliovance until I got to see the GP again.
