Hi everyone,

I’m nearly 44. I’m finding my moods tend to be all over the place and after my period I get awful anxiety.

I’m a single mum and have quite a stressful life at time juggling work etc. So I can’t always tell if this is just life or my hormones.

My periods in general are on time, but occasionally come a few days early?

How do doctors tell your in the
Perimenopause? Can I start taking HRT to help with the moods?

Thanks to anyone who helps x

I tho k your GP might be able to do a blood test, but others on here might know more. I think it's definitely worth talking to your GP Thanks

Blood tests are useless for diagnosing peri-menopause, and you can and should start HRT.

If you start hrt and you feel relieved, you are in peri for sure!:)

I'm wondering the same. How do you know? I've had bad headaches recently but is it this or something else? I'm so much more anxious than I ever used to be and often I'm complaining of it being too hot when apparently it's not Confused
