Night sweats whilst having regular periods?

I've been on the Mirena coil for 15mths. For the first year, I had spotting most days with 10 days or so of proper bleeding every few weeks. For the last three months, the spotting has stopped and I've had regular periods of 5 days or so. A lot of the PMT symptoms I used to suffer from have disappeared which is why I continued despite the spotting. I still get irritable though!
I am currently on day 5 of my period. For the last three nights I have woken up having what must be a hot flush. I think I've had a few during the day too.
Can you start getting hot flushes whilst still getting regular periods? If so, that seems unfair!
In case it is relevant, I have PCOS too although have always had regular periods.

I get night sweats and still have fairly regular periods.

Well that's going to be annoying! I had presumed that one thing stopped as the other started. A bit of reading this morning shows me how ignorant I am about all things to do with the menopause.

I thought that too. But no I've been having night sweats on and off for a few years now, but also still having periods.

But apart from night sweats and memory loss and brain fog, I don't feel too bad....

I had a phase of night sweats a few months ago..one night i woke up and thought i'd wet the bed! It had soaked right thru the waterproof protector and my back was soaked! It only ever happened like that once. The sweats have stopped now.
I'm 47 and still having regular periods. Weird! Hope you get some relief soon OP x
