2.5 days bleeding in June and now bang on 30 days later heavy bleeding, cramps, bloating, spots, the works.
Seriously! 11 months no period, the hot flushes had cooled, my sleep was getting better and then this. I thought I was done Angry (could be anger, could be the inevitable hot flush...)
No point to this post just needed to rant.

How’s it going? I guess at least with the spots etc you know it’s hormonal rather than the dreaded “post menopausal bleeding” which means you should get seen by the doctor? I’m reading on here there are things you can do if the hot flushes and bad sleep continue?

Are you me? I do feel your pain!
I went 50 weeks and then had a period last November, and then the flushes etc got worse. Eventually went to GP as fed up with it sleeping and mood swings etc.
I cannot take HRT but was out on clonidine which does help.
Now 8 months into the magic year countdown again.....

Thanks for the responses. 48 hours of stomach cramps, sore boobs and a period. Then it was over. I know that's actually not bad compared to what some women suffer but it just pisses me off that the countdown starts again.
The last two years leading up to my periods stopping I swore by acupuncture to control the flushes (I also can't take HRT) so I'm booked in this week to start a new course which hopefully keeps it at bay!

Hi Op - do you mind me asking how old you are? I am nearly 55 and have just had a period after 10 months and have to reset the clock. I’m assuming it was a hormonal period as I had very sore nipples (TMI) and slightly slimy discharge 2 weeks beforehand but the doctor wants me to have an ultrasound too?
