Can HRT cause pins and needles?

I’m on the Elleste Duet 2mg tablets, which include a monthly bleed and, as far as I am aware, no placebo. I’ve been taking them since around November for night sweats and hot flashes and they’ve been brilliant at fighting that.

I just started a new pack and am expecting a bleed to start any day now. I’m now up at 1am because my arms keep going numb and I can’t find a comfortable position to sleep. I have read that hormone fluctuations can cause parasthesia (sp?) and I don’t think any of the other potential causes apply to me - I’m not diabetic, I’ve recently lost weight and am a healthy BMI, I’ve had no alcohol and I don’t think I am showing any other symptoms of stroke or MS. It is possible I might have a vitamin B deficiency so I may try tomorrow to start supplementing but I am not vegan and do regularly eat meat.

Is this common with HRT? What can I do to alleviate it so I can at least sleep?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Your arms keep going numb at bedtime?

Se your GP and have some tests perhaps.

This doesn't sound normal.
