I've had a mirena coil for many years, it's been brilliant , no issues at all, had a gradual reduction of periods,, I am now in my early 50s, in menopause, no flushes etc, no real period for over a year and mirena now at the end of it's 5 years life, I just wanted to know if I have it removed next year after being period free , will I start bleeding again? I really don't want to have the hassle all over again when things have been great for so long

No one can tell you. You need to have it removed and see what happens. Many women have no periods on the Mirena even long before the menopause.
