@EddieFlea How many days are you in and how are you today? When did the nausea start?

GARETH91 · 13/10/2019 22:05

I've been on this novofem for just under 4 weeks, I've put on around 7lbs and my stomach is constantly bloated, anyone else have this issue? I was on patches before this only 3 months though but we were struggling to get them, so the drs have change me to these tablets.

Im on day 3 on Novofem after taking Evorel Sequi for 6 months. ( Aged 47) Evorel Sequi is now unavailable. Had stomach aches, and have started a period. I missed my last period. However I have not missed it for 12 months like it advises on the medicine instructions. I heard through the grapevine, that it is prescribed to many people who are peri-m.

I am not sure if I have been given it because everything else is not available... Will report back on symptoms. Thank you for everyone else experience, really helps.

Hi, I've been on Novofem for nearly 2 years, was premenopausal when I started it, 49 at the time and having regular periods. Have been very happy on it but bleeds have been erratic in the last 12 months - maybe 2 bleeds in a month or maybe nothing for 2 months, sometimes light, sometimes heavy. What I'm confused about is I know it's normal to get a withdrawal bleed on sequential HRT but if you started taking it when you were having periods how do you know if/when your periods have naturally stopped - is it a withdrawal bleed or a natural bleed? I know the withdrawal bleed should be after end of white tablets but mine does not always follow that. Dr is talking about me changing to continuous HRT, I said I wanted to think about it as I've been so good on Novofem and don't want to mess things up. Anyone got any thoughts on this please? Thanks

Pamela52 · 16/03/2020 19:25

Anyone advice must appreciated

funny2oo · 29/03/2020 23:28

I am on my second pack. I’m not really seeing any benefits as yet. I feel so stressed when I start on the white tablets. I get really down feel really angry and just want to be by myself. Does anyone else get this on the white tablet?

Snja · 31/03/2020 20:38

Yes I feel same
Absoloutely fine with pink tablets.its my 4th month now

Funnynot · 18/04/2020 08:00

Few days into my second pack of novofem but from day 5 of first pack been bleeding ! Heavy light heavy 🤷🏻‍♀️ Is this normal do I need to carry on ? I opted to go onto hrt for my brain fog and that has improved , but now I’m thinking if bleeding is going to be like this I will put up with the brain fog and stop hrt ! Any thoughts ...

I've been in Novofem for almost 4 months i started on them as hated hot flushes/night sweats. After reading reviews i expected with 10 days less flushes it actually took about a month but now WOW what a difference i have next to none now If i do get one its so slight and always seems to be just as i am going up to bed after relaxing all evening how strange! However i just get hot rather than wet with sweat. This is totally minor and happens 2 or 3 times in the week always on going to bed lol. I didn't take Novofem for anything else. I hadnt had a period for 6 months prior to starting them i am 57. I am totally happy with them i do get a bleed on the 2nd day of the red tablet a light flow for about 3 days. I would recommend this HRT for flushes for def

Saintdons · 01/08/2020 16:38

I have just started the second pack of Novofem after suffering with horrendous flushes. The first 2-3weeks of the first pack we’re fine and the flushes gradually stopped which is great however the stomach cramps aches I’m getting are awful. I’ve also experienced pain in my lower back on my right side. My periods were very erratic but I started bleeding in the last week of the first pack but it’s not heavy at all. Has anyone else had symptoms like these? I’m hoping they’ll subside as I continue taking them 🤞

Lisaneedshelp · 18/09/2020 13:28

Hi everyone, I’ve just been prescribed Novofem (first hrt) read the leaflet and says ‘for post menopausal women who’s not had a natural period for 6 months’ I’m confused.. I’m still having periods which are all over the place! Should I be taking this medication or not?? Thanks in advance for any help :)

mrsnw · 18/09/2020 14:58

I have regular periods and have been on them since November 2019. A bit up and down in the first few months but wouldn’t be without them now. Great sleep and hardly any depression or anxiety,

KB1972 · 18/09/2020 21:27

I'd love some feedback. I've been on novofem for ten days and have felt pretty awful for most of them. Hot flushes are worse, headaches and horrendous pmt. I feel worse than I did before! Someone please tell me it will all settle down!

mrsnw · 19/09/2020 17:42

KB1972
I think we must be the same age! I felt better after taking them for three days. My reason for using them was more anxiety, paranoia and depression. My muscle ached a lot when I started them but I didn’t get any headaches etc. Most docs would say to give them three to six months,

mrsnw · 19/09/2020 17:43

Are you taking the red tabs or white?

KB1972 · 19/09/2020 20:18

Hello! I'm just about to finish the reds and move onto the whites. I know its early days but I'm desperate to get rid of the hot flushes as they are the main symptom that I'm struggling with.

mrsnw · 21/09/2020 17:04

Give it time, it’s early days x

KB1972 · 21/09/2020 21:49

I know, thank you, I'll stick with it and update in a week or so in case anyone else is feeling the same!

Maxd73 · 25/01/2021 14:32

Yes , constantly have a headache when taking the red tablets. I’m seriously considering stopping the medication as I’ve never really suffered with headaches before I started taking this .

novofem · 03/06/2021 19:26

vaginal dryness / discomfort during sex or after - any recommendation on moisturisers to use? Thanks
