Had a sore throat for weeks now, uncomfortable when I swallow( but only when I think about it iyswim)GP couldn't see anything amiss. Took bloods to do full check. All came back normal apart from raised hormones assumed to be menopausal . Anyone else suffered this?

I get this when I am anxious as my throat muscles get tense but there can be other causes other than anxiety.

I get it when I consume certain drinks. Fanta, for example.

I don’t want to worry you, but it can be symptom of throat cancer.
I’d go back to the GP and insist on a referral to ENT to check further down than your GP can see

Anxiety can cause that something stuck in the throat feeling, but if you have had checks just try not to worry about it, could make it feel worse
