Hello, i’ve posted before about being offered citalopram from GP for moods (anxiety) and hot flushes.

After a particularly awful period (they are quite regular but closer together) I was crippled with pain & bleeding much heavier than usual (I’m sterilised & i’ve had an ablation so usually very light), I went back to GP.

They offered me citalopram (again) and some heavy duty painkillers but referred me for a pelvic scan to rule out anything sinister.

At the scan, the sonographer (sp?) couldn’t find my uterus & asked if I’d had a hysterectomy!! Then she performed an internal scan & there is was ..... Someone had mentioned once I have a retroverted uterus, but apparently it’s now folded over & I have 2 small fibroids.

I’m going back to GP for follow up at the end of the month. Does anyone have any experience of something similar?

The GP did say they would consider HRT if everything was ‘ok’ !

Thanks
