I am 54 and stopped my periods about a year ago , in the last few months I have been suffering with the following night sweats, fatigue through no sleeping , joint pain, stiffness in fingers first thing in the morning , hip pain, no motivation , so I visited my doctor yesterday and she prescribed Evorel 50 patch and utrogestan 100mg capsule to be taken daily.
I put my patch on yesterday and took first tablet, I thought I would review how other people got on with this and am so disappointed I have not found one thread with positive feedback and now starting to wonder if I should have just suffered

What do you mean by nothing positive on the forums? Do you mean Mumsnet or somewhere else?

There are loads of positive comments on here from women using HRT.

I've been using it for 11 years and feel very positive on the whole.

I have mirena coil and evorel 50 patch and am totally positive and optimistic about it. Had the coil for three years and the patch for only two weeks as I was having loads of flushes and terrible insomnia and already am seeing an improvement, flushes greatly reduced and sleep is improving. If this regime works out I intend to stay on it for as long as I can if not I'll try a different form of HRT.
Up until recent years women just put up with dreadful symptoms but there's no need to now, modern medicine is a wonderful thing!
