How do I know when I’ve reached menopause if I’m on hrt?

I wonder if anyone could answer this for me please? I have been using Evorel Sequi patches for three years now. I am 55. As I am having a ‘withdrawal’ bleed on the patches every month, how will I know when I’ve actually reached Menopause? I hope this makes sense, and thank you in advance for any help.

Hi OP
I asked the menopause specialist I see the very same question. Unfortunately, you won't know. If the HRT is helping you feel and function better, best to stick with it.

Thank you Namaste 😊. The hrt has really helped, but I was wondering about contraception if I’m post menopausal. This is my first ever post 🌻

The odds of conceiving at 55 must be remote. I think the oldest ever in the UK is 56. even if you conceived the odds of miscarriage are very high. I guess the question you need to ask is how disasterous would be it be if you did conceive, what would you do, and how does that balance against using condoms or something for another year.

Hi Jinglinghellsbells and thank you for your reply. Yes, I too think it is a very remote chance, but like you suggest, condoms etc. may be the answer for a little while longer. It would not be the greatest thing to get pregnant!
