Can anyone recommend any natural supplements they have taken to help with menopausal/perimenopausal symptoms? Thanks.

Hi. I think according to NICE guidelines there's really no evidence for alternative treatments for peri or menopausal symptoms. I had an early menopause at around 42/43 so I started HRT which has worked well for me. However someone else might be along soon to recommend some alternatives that work for them.

As above.

There is a whole lot of symptoms - depends what you have.

For example, black cohosh may help with flushes but it's not good to use long term as it can affect the liver.

The RCOG did a survey some years back and found no evidence at all that most herbs and supplements had any improvement.

This is the updated doc.

Unless you have medical reasons to avoid HRT, that's what will help.
If you are worried about risks, do some reading around it on good, medical sites like that of Dr Louise Newson.
