Dwindling periods at 42

I can't find any information on this.
I've always had pretty unremarkable periods. Regular, not too heavy, not very painful.
I had one ovary removed about 8 years ago due to huge ovarian cyst, I don't know if that's relevant.
For the past couple of years my periods have got lighter and shorter, until now (at 42) they've almost stopped. This month I've had a one-day period and could have got away with 2 pads in total.
I have no other symptoms of menopause. Could this be what this is? No tiredness etc.
Has anyone had experience of periods just... tailing off? I don't know if I should be concerned about it being something else and it being a problem that I've just put it down to age!

It's young for period changes. It could be early menopause.

Google early and premature menopause, and look at the charity the Daisy Network, for women with both.

My peri started at 38 and I started to have symptoms at 41. Ask for help and get informed.
