meno pause pregnancy differences in symptoms

How different are meno pause and pregnancy symptoms?

I have not mad much in form of periods for the last 3 years (2 periods in total last one 1 year ago) however recently find myself feeling nauseated in the morning and also late at night. I know I could go POAS however it feels like I am over reacting simply from the nausea and chances are fairly low of it being positive..

I have tried to read up on it but it really seems like the symptoms are very similar..

What are everyones experiences?

Sorry but can't see they are similar at all.

Key symptoms of menopause are hot flushes, night sweats, mood swings, weeing more, low mood, etc.

How old are you?

I am 49

If your last period was a year ago and you've had none since, that puts you as post menopause.

I think if you are feeling sick morning and night you ought to see your dr as it 's like a gut/ digestive issue which needs checking out maybe with a endoscopy. You need things ruling out before assuming it's menopausal.

Jingle as I understand it it is 2 years post period before you are post meno pause and I have gone 18 months before without a period then got a very normal one so I am not counting myself as post yet..

No. It is 12 months. see here- this is a medical site written by a consultant.

You ought to go and see your GP.

The rule is that any bleeding after a 12 month gap has to be fast-tracked for investigations. It's most likely nothing serious but it has to be checked.

If you are having very occasional bleeding with long 18 month gaps, it needs investigating.

see here

worth having it checked just to be sure it's all okay.
