Periods becoming more frequent??

Does this happen during menopause? I thought they were supposed to get further apart, but I'm currently on a 23 day cycle. When they come, the periods are much lighter and only last for about 4 days. Before, I was very regular - 28 days exactly - and they would be heavy and last for 7-8 days.

Have my ovaries got bored and they're now trying to dump all the eggs in as short a time frame as possible..?

Yeah, perimenopause can do all sorts of weird things with ovaries and periods. I've noticed the shorter my period is, the shorter the next cycle is going to be, but that likely varies widely from woman to woman.

Yep, shorter cycles here. Most of my life I was 35 days although more like 28!days after kids. For the last six months it’s been about 21 days and extremely light (which is good).

I get one day of heavy flow and then two days of almost nothing, which is really weird and draining on that one day of deluge!

Cycles often get shorter for a while and then get further apart
