Just wondered if anyone had any experience, I have to go for a hysteroscopy in the morning after ultrasound showed thickening of the womb lining had an internal and biopsy’s taken last Friday. Have a long and complicated medical history and had no bleeding for 5 years then it started again about 6 weeks ago.
Dreading tomorrow and dreading the wait also my thickening seems a lot thicker than most at 26mm when they investigate when it’s over 5 :(

Sorry. Flowers
How old are you now and were you post meno 5 years ago?

You can have a thickened lining which is simply hyperplasia- no changes, so doesn't mean you have cancer.
Worst case, it is very treatable so try not to worry.

I don't have any advice, just wanted to say my mum is in a similar boat and we are waiting for results from her biopsy. Thanks The uncertainty is really hard.

Thanks jingling, Emelene, I’m 45 had early menopause due to long term steroids had no bleeding for 5 years so have not enjoyed wearing pads again. Thanks for the support, I used to be a very regular poster but one thing and another and haven’t used mumsnet for a long while but just don’t feel I can talk about it openly my poor kids have seen me at deaths door too many times already.

A friend of mine had post menopausal unexplained bleeding. Scan showed thickening but further investigations revealed nothing. Hopefully you will be similar.
