I'm 41, and for a while now periods have been regular as always, but halved in length. It has seemed to drop a day a year, now down to two. I have various other symptoms, which, having done some reading, could be down to this, or caused by other things that are being investigated. Generally though, I just feel unwell most of the time.

Can it happen like this, them slowly fading away? Am I too young? I thought there was flooding involved!

I haven't had flooding, my periods just got less and less frequent, only 3 last year. Unless I've got flooding to look forward too! The sleeplessness and hot flushes have been pretty hideous, much improved by cutting out alcohol though.

I was at the same age when my peri started. I had regular but very light periods. Check your FSH.

Glad to see it's not just me, and I'm not imagining it, as I'm too young, or so I thought. Is it worth the blood test Emerald, as I've read the levels change, and one test can't definitively diagnose peri
