I have an appointment tomorrow but just wondering if anyone has had something similar? I’m 51

I had exactly the same, I think it's completely normal and nothing to worry about.

@LauderSyme and @fikel

The medical guidelines are....

any bleeding more than 12 months after a final period, must be investigated.

(In most cases they will turn out to be nothing other than another period.)

However, there is a small risk it can be more serious, so your GP will refer you for a uterine scan (ultrasound) quite quickly.

I went 13 months without a period. Referred to gynae, had a scan and turned out to be just a period. Nothing since thankfully. Better to get it checked out though. I was 52 at the time

Thank you feeling anxious until everything is ruled out

I came on here to post an identical thread. 14 months and got a period yesterday.

Sounds like it's a good idea to get it checked.

Good luck fikel Thanks
