Tibolone (Livial) and headaches

Hello

I've been prescribed Tibolone (Livial) by a menopause consultant. I'm 3 weeks in and not feeling any better yet, but have been having awful headaches that keep me awake at night.

Does anyone know whether it's safe to continue taking them and see whether it settles down? Or do I need to see my GP / contact the meno clinic?

Thank you

If they are severe, you ought to go back to the dr who prescribed them.

Any reason why Tibolone and not other types of HRT? Tibolone is usually for women who can't take other types- it's different!

I wouldn't say they are severe, but persistent and horrible. Almost like a sinus headache, but it's definitely not my sinuses. I can't see the consultant again until June, but don't know whether I should just stop or persist.

I've tried Fem7 and Everol conti, but didn't feel any better. The consultant didn't think most of my symptoms sounded like menopause but said that the Tibolone would be the best option for exhaustion and low libido. She said I need to be taking some form of HRT because I'm 45 and my last period was almost 3 years ago.

Thank you!

I can't see the consultant again until June, but I can make an appointment with my GP.

I stopped taking them over the weekend and my head is soooooo much better. I'm going to leave it a few days then start again to see what happens.
