Mirena coil taken out in January as being 51 and not having to worry about pregnancy, I switched to Utrogestan.

On holiday I swelled up, gained a stone and looked obscene in my bikini. My boobs were huge and tender. On coming home I started to bleed so badly I had to stay on the toilet.

My meno consultant is pretty sure I miscarried. My periods had all but stopped so I thought I was safe. I know the one year rule about menopause but I’m NEARLY 52! Just a warning girls!!

Hope you are okay now?

I think the oldest woman on record to have a normal conception is 59.

Obviously when using the Mirena you weren't sure if you were still having normal periods as it stops the blood loss.

Did they not offer you a scan to see if all is okay now?
