Vaginal dryness/ soreness

I've now missed two periods so consider myself perimenopausal, I think! Other than that my only other real symptom is vaginal dryness (I'm very aware I've got off lightly here!). I've given the Replens moisturiser a go but I'm not convinced it's a long-term solution. Is there something that will rejuvenate my vagina?!

Bugger, wrong topic. Sorry, I'll see if I can get it moved!

Replens has a really bad press now- lots of drs won't suggest it. If you just want a lube/ moisturiser they recommend YES.
But what you really need is vaginal estrogen - cream or a tiny tablet. This is used for 14 days every day then 2-3 x a week forever. You need to see your GP.

Thanks, Jingling, will take myself off to the doc.

I so wish I could tell you it was Dadsnet or Cakes and Bakes or something else wildly inappropriate, Jilted, but I'm sorry to report this post's original placement was in General Health.

And after my flurry of excitement of 9 weeks of no period, considering myself menopausal, guess what's back this morning? sigh
