Have anyone else's periods become weirdly lighter?

Evening all,

I am wondering...

I am 47. Periods were 28 days on the nail for about 25 years (2 x pg aside). Lots of pain (sometimes vomiting with the pain, but mostly laid up with hot water bottle etc - still v painful but just about tolerable post DC).

Over the past 2-3 years, they have gone haywire - anything from 10 to 60 days apart; some heavy and painful, some less so.

For the past few months, though, they have reverted to relatively regular - but are so light that they might as well not make the effort. Plus they are completely painless.

Has anyone else experienced this during peri? It has been like this for about 6 months, and I am still expecting the period from Hell to appear. Confused I've read a lot about periods becoming heavier in peri, but not this!

Perfectly normal. I never had any heavier periods in menopause ( stopped by 53.) Just spread further apart and lasting a day or so.

The same, I had almost regular but very light periods during my peri but with severe Meno symptoms.

Thank you, both. I have come to think that pretty much anything is normal in peri - but it's good to hear from others who have had the same thing. Especially when it's so decidedly not what I had been expecting!
